Project coordinator and Communications designer for more than 12 years in civil society organisations. Graduated as a landscape architect, worked as a researcher, but was mainly moved to work as an advocate for cultural change for sustainability. Sara designed, co-created and coordinated projects on sustainability and social transformation, alongside civil society organisations and municipalities, that contributed to relevant local policy changes. She was part of the pioneer project Municipalities in Transition, bringing a systemic lens to municipalities’ way of collaborating with their citizens.
Sara lives in a village in central Portugal, where she is part of a local multicultural folk song choir and participates in community-led initiatives.
