Meet the 15 Selected Demonstrators of the Regenerative Communities Fund
We are delighted to announce the completion of the selection process for the 15 Demonstrators who will join the Regenerative Communities Fund (RCF) ecosystem as part of the Funding Fairer Futures (FFF) project.
Over the summer, we launched the second RCF call for proposals to identify 15 place-based, innovative, established community-led initiatives across Croatia, Finland, France, Portugal, and Spain. Our aim was to select community-led initiatives (CLI) with the experience and capacity to act as role models and mentors for newer or less-resourced communities, and to play an active role in strengthening a regenerative ecosystem across Europe.
The call attracted close to 70 high-quality applications from across the five eligible countries. Following a careful and thorough assessment process, we selected 15 proposals that clearly align with the RCF’s purpose, put forward impactful ideas and demonstrate a clear capacity to engage, mobilise and inspire local communities.
We warmly thank all applicants for the time, care and commitment invested in their proposals. Many outstanding initiatives could not be selected, despite their impressive work. In reaching our final decisions, we also paid attention to geographical balance to ensure a diverse and representative group across Europe. As we move forward, we remain keen to stay in touch and to explore future opportunities for collaboration, as part of our longer-term vision to grow and strengthen the RCF.
The 15 Demonstrators will work closely with the five National Hubs selected in May 2025, as well as with ECOLISE. Together, they will contribute to strengthening a network that supports community-led initiatives placing climate justice, youth, women, local communities, disabled people, and diverse marginalised groups at the heart of systemic transformation.
We are proud to announce the selected Demonstrators:
