European Day Of Sustainable Communities 2026
The European Day of Sustainable Communities (EDSC) is ECOLISE’s long-standing campaign that celebrates the powerful role of community-led initiatives (CLIs) in shaping a just, sustainable, and resilient Europe. EDSC offers a platform for sharing stories, building connections, and advocating for stronger recognition and support for grassroots sustainability.
This year, from 21st to 27th of September, we will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the EDSC! We invite CLIs to take part in the campaign during that week, by organising an in-person Policy Dialogue event and participating in the social media campaign to highlight key policy themes and share inspiring grassroots stories.
In late October/November, the policy conversations will then be brought to Brussels where both formal and informal events will be organised to connect with policy-makers and other stakeholders.
In this webinar, you will learn how you can take part in the 10th anniversary of the European Day of Sustainable Communities (EDSC). We will guide you through the different ways to engage in the campaign, including organising a local Policy Dialogue event, contributing to the social media campaign, and sharing your community’s stories and experiences. The webinar will also provide practical information on the campaign timeline, available resources, and opportunities to connect local conversations with the wider European policy dialogue, helping your initiative amplify its voice and impact.
